As the world turns to dust, I finished narrating another backlist book! Yay! Only two more to go. All shall be revealed in November, which is when the last book covers out of ACX Royalty Share (don’t use this, grasshoppers, just don’t. Seven years is a verrrrrry long time).
It’s interesting how my sales are shifting to international venues. Kobo and Google Play are doing well, but the best is my own website. I had a sales record last month.
Overall, of course, sales are down and this is a kind of difficult time for everyone.
We have solidarity with the battle penguins on Macquarie and Heard Island who will suffer a tariff of 10% on all fish they export (hint: they don’t export, they eat it all). Sanity may or may not prevail.
There was a longer comment I wrote about the stock market, but I don’t want to say that much, except this: don’t do anything in a state of panic. Google previous downturns and see how long it took the stocks you have (not the entire market, just the ones you have) to come back (probably a few months to a year). Then make your decisions. Signed, someone who got pretty badly beaten up in the GFC, but came out OK. You’ll be fine, providing you don’t make hasty decisions.
